HOTEL POLICIES
Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to arrival by email at reservations@theharknesshotel.com or by phone at 208.254.4340.

A non-refundable 10% deposit of the total reservation amount is collected at the time of booking.

Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to check-in will result in a charge equal to one night’s stay.

Reservations made through third-party websites (e.g., Expedia, Hotels.com, Bookin.com, etc.) must be cancelled directly through the original booking site. The same cancellation policy applies.

Guests must be at least 18 years of age to reserve a room and must present valid identification upon arrival.
A non-refundable 10% deposit is required at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation. The remaining balance is due at check-in via credit card. Rates are subject to applicable taxes, including 6% Idaho Sales Tax and 2% Idaho Travel & Tourism Tax.
The hotel does not have an onsite restaurant. Nearby options include Short Stop Market (located across the street) for groceries, a Family Dollar for groceries, as well as Subway and A&W/Taco Time in McCammon. Additional dining options are available in Lava Hot Springs (10 minutes away) or Pocatello (30 minutes away).

For multi-night stays, towels and toiletries will be refreshed upon request.
Guests staying in suites with kitchens are asked to wash all cookware, run the dishwasher prior to check-out, use the exhaust fan while cooking, and remove all food from the refrigerator. Kitchens should be left in the same condition in which they were found.
A $20 fee will be charged to the credit card on file for any unreturned room key.
To preserve a relaxing environment for all guests, quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM.
Access to the roof adjacent to the hotel is strictly prohibited, except in emergencies. Removal of window screens is also not permitted. Violation of this policy will result in a $150 charge.
Guests may not exceed the stated room capacity listed at the time of reservation without prior approval from hotel staff. Floor sleeping arrangements are not permitted.
Roll-away beds are available upon request for $15 per day plus tax, on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one roll-away bed is permitted per room.
Guests are responsible for any damage to rooms or missing items during their stay.
Charges will include the cost of replacement plus $50 per hour in labor to restore the room to its original condition. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to remotes, bedding, towels, windows, TVs, screens, appliances, fixtures, furniture, doors, lights, and mirrors.

The Harkness Hotel is a completely smoke-free facility. Smoking, e-cigarettes, water pipes, and burning candles are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. Violation of this policy will result in a $300 charge to the credit card on file.
