What a spectacularly charming hotel. Quiet lobby with a coffee maker that puts most baristas to shame. We stopped here with the whole family on our way to Yellowstone and rented three rooms. They were all equally stunning but we enjoyed the pearl room most of all because of the perfectly stocked kitchen and open floor plan. The beds were extremely comfortable, clean and the bathrooms were immaculate. Great lotions shampoos and soaps.
”The Harkness Hotel is a hidden gem in Idaho – the gem state. My daughters and I stayed there on our way to a softball tournament in Soda Springs. After a 3.5 hour drive, arriving at the Harkness was like arriving at an oasis. It is a stunningly beautiful hotel with the most friendly staff and owners. We loved staying in the Gold Room and we can’t wait to return with more of our family in the future. This place is worth every penny and well worth the drive.
”My girlfriend and I were looking online and chose this hotel because their photos showcased newer, more spacious rooms and bathrooms. When we arrived we were absolutely thrilled to see the quality that the owners put into the rooms. Spacious, modern rooms are hidden inside of the hotel’s unassuming historic building frame. The owner (an interior designer) was very happy to show us his hard work and we were impressed to the point that we took notes on ideas that we intend to implement in our own home.
Fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the local hot springs or just passing through and wanting a nice place to relax a bit. Will definitely be going back.
This was one of the best places that I have ever stayed. Clean, renovated, up-to-date, has Wi-Fi and a really cool back vault as a gift shop. If you’re going to Lava Hot Springs this is the place to stay only 10 miles away just a short drive. I could not ask for better accommodations.
