Our room was clean and comfortable – I slept better there than I do at home! (That has a little to do with not having the kids with us and a lot to do with the bed.) There is so much character throughout the hotel. A very unique and wonderful place to stay. We’ll definitely come again.

When we walked into the lobby I was immediately in love! The mix of old and modern was breathtaking. I loved all of the details. Aaron checked us in and walked us to our room. He had already responded to an email I sent on our way up with recommendations for yummy dinner options. When we got to our room he mentioned the shower head that was a favorite in our room. The room not only met all of your basic requirements: clean, tv, bathroom but went WAY beyond!! The beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was GORGEOUS and the shower head…we stayed one night and both of us showered twice just to stand in that shower! I had sent multiple text within 20 minutes of arrival telling people they needed to come stay. We were sad to only have one night and have already talked about when we can get back up there. Aaron let us see some of the other rooms before we left. They were all beautiful and each had it’s own unique design. Thank you Aaron for such a fabulous birthday surprise!

We went on a quick Anniversary trip to Lava Hot Springs. I am so happy that we found the Harkness Hotel online. It is 10 miles outside of Lava Hot Springs which ended up being great. This hotel is beautiful. We loved hearing about the renovation from the owners and seeing the old pictures and nostalgia hanging on the walls. We stayed in the Silver room. We loved the design and decor. The bathroom felt spa like and we wish we could have taken the bed home with us. We look forward to staying at the Harkness Hotel in the future and highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Lava Hot Springs or passing McCammon, ID.

Exquisite gem of luxury hidden in this small Idaho town. 109 year old bank & mercantile building transformed into an exquisite gem of Luxury. The hotel owner and expert designer Aaron, has designed and preformed the work himself creating each room with modern themes to satisfy the needs of the guests whether it be a large family of a couple. We stayed in the Indigo room which was fabulous. As good as the pictures make it look they don’t do it justice. You have to see to believe. In operation for under a year now this is sure to grow into bookings way in advance. I highly recommend. No disappointments here. We will definitely return.
